Art is inherently personal

Each person experiences art differently, just as each artist filters her work through her own unique lens.

Inspiration can be found in the smallest detail and in the calmest moment.

I never know what my intentions are before starting a new piece. My job is to see past the external and create the ephemerial -- represented by the bold lines, vibrant colors, and rich textures on my canvas.

As I create, the abstract is limitless and creativity seems endless.

While art is my outlet and the expression of how I see the world, my work isn’t about me.

I use my brush to create something that is uniquely yours. Like a fingerprint, each of my paintings is one of a kind. When you work with me, your piece is molded by your tastes and passions from the very beginning.

My process starts with color. When I’m creating for myself, I let my environment inspire my choices. When I’m creating for clients, I use their desired palate as a jumping off point to express emotions and bring forth something singular into the world.

And in each piece I leave my calling card color -- I believe a painting isn’t complete without a touch of red!

My work is a physical process of both movement and stillness.

For me, creating art is about freedom. Moving away from the constraints of watercolors and small canvases, I found joy in the flexibility and vibrancy of acrylics. I could throw paint or use a palette knife or trowel, and I loved it! I could scrape, add layers, and insert designs with different tools.

This exploration helped me create the unique style I work in today.

After twenty years of painting, I eventually began showcasing my art in my own studio. A home-away-from-home, my studio is where I can display my work like a personal gallery. I get to interact with art lovers who come to visit me from around the country and the world, as well as local decorators and stagers who use my artwork as a “finishing touch” for the homes, offices, or hotels they’re designing.

If you’re looking for a piece that’s a perfect fit for your space, or to simply be inspired by the abstract, I’d love for you to stop by the canvas
